Competitive Pitching

Competitive Pitchers Pitching in Sedalia Girls Softball Recreational Leagues.

No player who pitches on a competitive team will be allowed to pitch in our Recreational Leagues (8U, 10U, 12U & 16U).

Competitive team for the purpose of this rule is a Travel Tournament Team that plays in various softball association tournaments, such as USA Softball, USSSA, NSA, IFA, AFA, Pony, Khoury League, Babe Ruth to name a few associations.

A pitcher pitching in the SGSA competitive is not allowed to pitch in our recreational level games.

Pitching on a high school team either in the spring or in the fall does not make a pitcher ineligible to pitch in our recreational league, as long as she does not meet one of the above-mentioned categories.

Should a player pitch for other recreational leagues this will not disqualify her from pitching in the SGSA recreational level games.

Any question concerning a player’s eligibility to pitch in the recreational level leagues needs to be brought in front of the SGSA Board of Directors who will hear all sides and evaluate the information given them to determine the players eligibility to pitch in the SGSA recreational level leagues.
